MTQ Homecoming Update

Dear ones,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will NOT have our golf outing at RTJ Silver Lakes Golf Club as advertised. Instead, we will play at the beautiful Cider Ridge Golf Club in Oxford, Alabama.

If you are traveling in from out of town and wish to play, please contact either Mark Trammell at 256 442 1621. Or Milton Harris @ Hillcrest Baptist Church...that number is 256-236-1464.

We look forward to seeing you at the 10th Anniversary of Gods faithfulness to this ministry!!

Blessings and safe travels,

Mark Trammell

Looking Ahead: The Mark Trammell Quartet

As 2012 continues to be the group's most rewarding year yet, The Mark Trammell Quartet enters the last half of the year with a new vocalist!

Lead Singer Dustin Sweatman has accepted the Renaissance Program Director of Choirs position at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee. He will remain with the quartet playing piano and singing thru mid-September and will assume his responsibilities at Bethel the week after the National Quartet Convention. Dustin has been a very important part of the beginning years of this ministry and we wish him Godspeed as he begins this new chapter in his life.

Nick Trammell will be filling the open position in the quartet. Nick and his wife Jessica have served the Lord with The Browns from Lemars, Iowa, for the past year and a half and have just become proud parents of their first child. While both Nick and Jessica have enjoyed singing with Jessica's family, Nick shares that he is excited to fulfill a dream of standing beside his father in Christian work. Likewise, Mark is pleased to have his son joining him as he carries on a quartet tradition that Mark first loved as a child growing up in Arkansas.

"This is definitely a time of growth for our ministry and the doors of opportunity have been thrown open," says Mark. "I had to know that Nick's desire to follow in my footsteps was not only Nick's desire but more importantly God's plan for everyone involved.

Pat, Eric, Nick and Mark will debut a new recording at this year's National Quartet Convention.

Finally, in the midst of the group's first No. 1 song and their first Top 5 nomination as male quartet in the Singing News Fan Awards, the group has fielded many questions about adding a full-time pianist after the National Quartet Convention. "The last time I checked," says Mark, "a keyboard fits just fine in the bus bays—and these young men know how to carry it into the venue. We might as well use it."

Stay tuned!
