Album Reviews for Full Sail

Positive reviews for our new CD, Full Sail, are coming in!  We want to extend a special thank you to all of the writers for your kind words and believing in this album as much as we do.  Read sample excerpts below and then click on the links to read what folks are saying about Full Sail…

 From Southern Gospel Critique

“Mark Trammell is in his mid-50s now, and sounds better than ever.  What a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft, that he seems to somehow get better every time his quartet records a new CD!  Some of the greatest singers to ever pick up a microphone have sung gospel music, and Mark Trammell takes a back seat to none of them…”  Read more --->  HERE

From Lynn’s Chronicles

“Each time I listen to this CD, I hear a theme that is written in a traditional, hymn-like sound but speaks to the listener living in a modern world.  The practicality, relevance and application to life are heard in each lyric.  That alone, makes this a recording that will stay in your CD player for a very long time…”  Read more ---> HERE

From Your Gospel Truth

““Full Sail” is an album that will bring the listener into the midst of praise and worship as they are reminded of the great things that God has done for them each and every day when we allow Him to minister to us…”  Read more ---> HERE

NQC 2016 - In Review

The 2016 National Quartet Convention is in the books!  We were overwhelmed by the wonderful week we had at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Never before have we had so much fun and been as blessed as we were this year.  Thank you, to all who came and spent this week with us!

Sunday night we kicked off NQC with the Hoppers, Greater Vision, Jim Brady Trio, Legacy Five and Tim Lovelace with a special bonus concert.  We just received the first shipment of our new CD, Full Sail, and were excited to stage these songs.  We sang many, but the most memorable was “Treasures In Heaven” – which Randy re-wrote as we sang!  LOL!  As we introduced these songs to you all that week, we saw the lyrics and music bless you from the stage and listened carefully as you requested these songs at the booth; your reception of this new music was one of the greatest confirmations that we did what we were supposed to with this new album.

We had the privilege of having The Voices of Lee on stage with us on Saturday night - they also appear on our new CD, singing with us on "My Faith Still Holds" and "Redeemer Of My Soul."

Tuesday night Mark Trammell hosted the evening concert with Susan Whisnant.  We hope you prayed for Susan – she needed it!  LOL!  We have posted a photo album for each night of NQC on the MTQ Facebook page, if you want to walk through our week in pictures – click HERE!

Wednesday afternoon at the Singing News Fan Awards, subscribers of the Singing News Magazine honored Mark by naming him the 2016 Favorite Baritone of the Year.  We couldn’t be more proud!  Mark has been a godly example of leadership to each of us, a faithful friend and wise mentor; we couldn’t be more thrilled that you all chose to honor him in this way.  Thank you!

Thursday morning Mark preached at the morning chapel service on the topic “The Perfect Presence of Peace.”  During the worship, Dean Hopper led the audience in hymns of the church and Connie Hopper sang one of Mark’s favorite songs, “That’s Him.”  If you didn’t get to hear Mark preach at NQC, but would like to, you can watch the video below to hear his sermon.

(MTQ App users – if you don’t see the video, please click “View Original Post” at the bottom of this page.)

Saturday night on Main Stage, Greater Vision was scheduled to sing near the end of the night and when Gerald Wolfe stepped on stage, he told the crowd that when he got up that morning, he could sing bass!  Greater Vision needed a lead singer and Gerald was determined to sing the fourth part…but he needed someone to fill his position.  If you weren’t there to see it in person, you may have guessed that Mark was the man!  Now, everyone there for Saturday night has heard Mark Trammell sing My Name Is Lazarus!

We had an amazing week at Quartet Convention and have been overwhelmed by the love and support you all have showered on us that week.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!  We hope to see you soon!
