2017 MTQ Homecoming - In Review!

Our 15 year celebration is now history!  We spent the last weekend of July at Hill Crest Baptist Church in celebration of our 15th year in ministry at the MTQ Homecoming with many of our friends and fans.

Friday night we enjoyed music from our friends Legacy Five.  This was their first time to be at our Homecoming!  Their new pianist, Josh Townsend, just happens to be buddies with our new pianist, Trevor Conkle, and we know they had fun hanging out on Friday.

Saturday morning started bright and early for those participating in the Golf Tournament...the game began at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start on the stunning course of Silver Lakes.  With the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains surrounding, the teams split off for their starting holes on the "Heartbreaker" and "Mindbreaker" courses.  The weather was beautiful - a perfect day to golf.  Who won?  Word has it that Mark's team took first place and Randy's team came in second, only loosing first by one point!

While the teams were still on the course, the Ladies Luncheon at The Rock (located in the Hill Crest building) started at 11:30 a.m.  This is a special time for the ladies to spend time with our wives and get to know them better.  Jessica cooked a tasty tune casserole to go along with salad, croissants and a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!   During the ladies time together, each of our wives introduced themselves and shared how they we met and the activities they're involved in at home.  After the meal, Jessica, Tracy and Lauren sang a few songs.  We heard a few rumors about a particular tune involving one of our songs that included the phrase, "What happens at the Ladies Luncheon stays at the Ladies Luncheon!" ...and we noticed that four of our ties were missing from the bus.  Hmmmm.

On Saturday evening we walked through the 15 years of our ministry with alumni members Eric Phillips and Dustin Sweatman as the Mark Trammell Trio, singing songs from our very first CD.  By intermission, we had progressed to the time we transitioned to a quartet, bringing up our first bass singer, Pat Barker, to sing songs like, "Wedding Music," "Echoes From the Burning Bush" and "I Want To Know."  After intermission, Nick took Dustin Sweatman's place singing lead and we continued until we came to the current line-up of the group.  We were overwhelmed by the response and love from you all.  The evening ended with all of us on stage with Ernie Phillips and Jay Parrack...who fulfilled a long standing request, "Glory Road."

Sunday morning we were blessed to be a part of the worship service at Hill Crest Baptist.  The choir sang a special, "Highway to Heaven" and then we were able to share a few songs, including two of our new ones, "All The Way Home" and "My Faith Still Holds" with the congregation before our new pastor, Dr. Stephen Anthony, brought the message.  Following the service, we enjoyed quality time with our Bloodline Members at a special lunch.

We want to give a special thanks to the staff Hill Crest Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama for showing love to our out of town friends and fans.  Thanks to our friends Legacy Five, the MTQ alumni who participated, the MTQ wives and especially our Mark Trammell Outreach - Bloodline members for their prayer and support of this memorable event!  The event was a huge success because you all helped make it special!  We love you and thank you for helping us invest in the kingdom, one soul at a time.
