2017 Singing at Sea in Review!

Have you noticed that the Singing at Sea Cruise changed cruise lines?  After sailing under Carnival for many years, Templeton Tours booked their February cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship…and we want to tell you all about it!

Over Valentines week, we climbed aboard the Enchantment of the Seas and headed to the Bahamas with 2,458 Gospel Music Fans.  Though we enjoyed new experiences on Royal Caribbean, the main aspects of Singing at Sea that fans have grown to love over the past 40+ years have remained unchanged.  The bars and casinos were closed, twenty-four hour ice cream was available on the Lido Deck along with midnight buffets and Gospel Music all day long!

Here are a few of the things that were unique to the Royal Caribbean line that we feel you and your family would enjoy…

Rock Climbing Wall – If you’re traveling with your kids or grandchildren, they may like to take a climb on the rock wall on the back of the ship.  As you can see from the photo, Nick enjoyed a climb himself!  (Remember that kids 15 years and younger sail free, when rooming with two full-paying adults.  Port fees do apply.)

Movie Theater on the Pool Deck – Tuesday night, folks on the Pool Deck sat under the stars and watched the new Christian film “Risen,” on the movie theater screen.

Comfortable Seating in the Large Theater – We heard from folks like you that the seating in the large auditorium, Orphium Theater, was more comfortable than on previous ships.  This made it possible for you to enjoy more groups in the same theater longer!

Now, you may be wondering…what about next year’s cruise?  Good news!  Templeton Tours has reserved Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas for February 12-17, 2018…and the ship’s accommodations and itinerary will be even more enjoyable!  We’ll be departing from Tampa, Florida on a five night cruise to Key West, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico.  Cozumel is a cruiser favorite among Gospel Music Fans.  With great Mexican food, beaches and shopping – everyone will find something they enjoy on Mexico’s largest island.  In addition, our stop in Key West has special significance.  After 43 years of sailing the seas, this cruise will be the first time Singing at Sea has ever stopped in Key West!  After asking around the bus, we’ve discovered that Nick, Randy, Blake nor I have been to Key West either…which is going to make this an extra special trip!  If you’ve not been to this Florida Key, or would like to return, we want to be the first to invite you on the 2018 Singing at Sea – MTQ would be honored to be your host group.

There’s no substitute for an all-Christian cruise!  If you’re wondering if you could afford a cruise like this, I invite you to look at our cruise page and take a look at the suggested savings it would require per week to make budget for this cruise.
